Police probe targeted homicide in North Vancouver

One man is dead in what police believe was a targeted hit on a residential street in North Vancouver's Lynn Valley overnight Monday.

No information on the identity of the victim has been released

One man is dead in what police believe was a targeted hit that occurred on a residential street in North Vancouver's Lynn Valley overnight Monday.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was analyzing a crime scene involving three vehicles on the street near Wellington Drive and Mountain Highway.

IHIT Sgt. Stephanie Ashton says police don't believe there is any heightened risk to the public as the killing appears to have been targeted. 

Police have since towed a white Bentley, a black BMW and and a Chevy Malibu of undetermined colour from the scene.

No information on the identity of the victim has been released.
