Eric Gonzalez, inspired by the movie Nightcrawler, has captured footage of Trail, B.C., portraying it like you've never seen it before.

"Driving through the streets of Trail one night, ... I got the inspiration listening to the soundtrack and figured it would be a fantastic way to show the city in a way that few people have done before," said the 19-year-old in an interview with Radio West host Rebecca Zandbergen.

The film, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal, follows the story of a young man who prowls the streets of Los Angeles in the dead of night, in search of scandal and crime.

Gonzalez's short video, a combination of still shots and drone footage, doesn't feature either of those things. Instead, it captures the completely deserted streets of Trail and the serenity of the Columbia River.
