Nardwuar the Human Serviette discharged from hospital after stroke
Canadian media personality had a stroke Dec. 9 after attending a party in Vancouver
Nardwuar the Human Serviette smiled and gave a big thumbs-up in a social media post on Saturday saying he was discharged from Vancouver General Hospital following a stroke.
According to the 47-year-old's social media posts, he will be returning to the hospital for surgery in February.

—@nardwuarThe oddball, celebrity interviewer, whose real name is John Ruskin, tweeted that he suffered a stroke after a party on Dec. 4 at the Astoria Pub.
The international music community took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery, including super producer and performer Pharrell Williams, known for his hit "Happy."

—@PharrellThe nasally-voiced Vancouver native is known for his eccentric approach to interviews, which he conducts in a tartan tam cap.
He also got Liberal leader Justin Trudeau and NDP leader Tom Mulcair to play the Hip Flip game with him in the run-up to the federal election vote in October, but had no such luck with then Conservative leader Stephen Harper.
His interview subjects include an attempt with Mikhail Gorbachev where he urged then Russian president to "Keep on Rockin' in the free world," in what he claimed was Russian.
He has also conversed with Snoop Dogg, Iggy Pop and Katy Perry as well as Rush's Geddy Lee and former U.S. president Gerald Ford.
