Police and searchers spent night searching for 3-year-old who vanished last night
A three-year-old boy reported missing overnight in the Comox Valley area of Vancouver Island has been found safe this morning.
Police say Lochlyn Mackenzie was discovered quite far from his home, eating berries under a bush.
Lochlyn or Loki was last seen riding his bike near his home at McLeod Road and Green Avenue in Union Bay.
His disappearance sparked an "extensive" overnight search by about 20 to 30 people.
Elise Harkes helped search for the boy near his home on a dead-end road surrounded by forest.
"It's a very heavily wooded area. This morning there were people out walking the roads and searching the ditches," Harkes told CBC in an interview just before he was discovered.
