Manhunt underway after shooting at Kelowna car-rental outlet
A police manhunt is underway after two people were shot in Rutland area of northern Kelowna, B.C. Monday afternoon.
A police manhunt is underway after two people were shot in Rutland area of northern Kelowna, B.C., just before noon Monday.
Kelowna RCMP were conducting a manhunt in the area near Highway 97 after multiple shots were fired at a Budget car and truck rental outlet.
RCMP confirmed that two people were taken to Kelowna General Hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Initial reports were that the two victims were returning a car, when an unidentified gunman shot one in the face and one in the back.
All schools in the area were locked down temporarily, but later reopened. There was no indication that the gunman was close to any schools.
The suspect was described as a white male, six feet tall, about 170 pounds and wearing black clothing.
