Man stabbed inside Surrey hotel

RCMP are investigating a stabbing at a Surrey, B.C., hotel early Thursday.

Police were called to the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford at 5:30 a.m. PT following a report of a stabbing.

About a dozen police vehicles quickly surrounded the hotel and police tape and tarp were put out to protect evidence on the driveway outside.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

No one has been arrested. Police described the suspect as dark skinned with a shaved head.

"Investigators believe that this is an isolated occurrence and there is no risk to the public." Surrey RCMP Sgt. Chad Greig​ said in a statement.
