The Vancouver Park Board wants to get a lock on where the city would like to see a love lock sculpture installed.

It has launched a survey that asks Vancouverites to vote on 13 locations — including Kits Beach, English Bay and Queen Elizabeth Park — suggest another location or register their dislike for the whole idea.

The park board promises it will hire a local artist to create a unique, site specific art installation for the winning location.

Here is the complete list of potential sites:

  • Crab Park
  • Creekside Park
  • Elm Park
  • English Bay Beach Park
  • John Hendry (Trout Lake) Park
  • Jonathan Rogers Park
  • Kitsilano Beach Park
  • Memorial West Park
  • New Brighton Park
  • Queen Elizabeth Park
  • Riverfront Park
  • Robson Park
  • Vanier Park

In Vancouver, city engineers have removed locks from the Burrard Bridge and chain link fences at the Plaza of Nations citing safety concerns.

The survey will be open until Sept. 16.
