Late-night gunshots fired in Surrey
Surrey RCMP officers responded to reports that someone was firing a gun, just before 1 a.m. on Sunday.
Police say no obvious motive, or link to recent rash of gun violence
Surrey RCMP officers responded to reports that someone was firing a gun, just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
Police were called to 140 Street and 104 Avenue, in the Whalley area, where they found evidence confirming the gunshots.
Staff Sgt. Blair McColl said nobody was hurt, though "several to many shots" were fired.
McColl said one person was the source of all the gunshots.
Police said there was no apparent motive for the gunfire, and it doesn't appear to be linked to the recent rash of gun violence in Surrey, which has been connected to a drug turf war.
