Images of Surrey stabbing suspects released
Homicide investigators have released new images of the suspects in a fatal stabbing at Frank Hurt School in Surrey over the Easter weekend, hoping people will now be able to identify the suspects.
Devon Allaire-Bell died and his friend were seriously injured following a verbal dispute with five South Asian males on April 24.
On Tuesday police released two new images from surveillance cameras of the suspects and a map of the route they walked as they approached the school.
Investigators say they want to draw particular attention to the clothing worn by two of the suspects.
"Note the male dressed in light-coloured clothing with distinctive writing on the rear of his shirt. This male is also wearing a white and black ball cap," said Integrated Homicide Investigation Team spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Pound.
"Also note the third male to enter the McDonalds has a unique 'marine style' hair cut, with the sides and back shaved and only a small amount of hair on top," said Pound.
"The investigation has determined that the suspects were on foot for an extended time frame, walking northbound on the King George Boulevard at 64th Ave at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2011. They continued north on King George Boulevard and walked through the Esso Gas Station lot at 72nd Avenue," said Pound.
"At approximately 7:50 p.m., they entered the McDonalds restaurant on 72 Avenue just west of the King George Boulevard. They then crossed the King George Boulevard to 137 Street and continued to travel northbound on 137 Street in the direction of Frank Hurt High School where the 911 call was received at 8:36 p.m.," said Pound.
