Homicide suspected after man found dying on Abbotsford road

A homicide investigation is underway in Abbotsford, B.C., after an injured man was found dying on a road on Sunday night.

A homicide investigation is underway in Abbotsford, B.C., after an injured man was found dying on a road on Sunday night.

A passing motorist spotted the man lying on Lonzo Road near Sumas Way and called for help at about 11:10 p.m. PT.

B.C. Ambulance and Abbotsford Fire Rescue crews arrived and tried to assist the badly injured man, but he died at the scene about 15 minutes later.

The death is being investigated by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

Police said the man is white and believed to be in his 30s, but have not released any other details, including the cause of his injuries.
