Free public Wi-Fi coming to Vancouver as early as this summer

The City of Vancouver has awarded Telus a five-year contract to offer free public Wi-Fi at 43 different locations in the city.

If you're tired of exceeding your data limit on your cellphone bill, you may be happy to hear that free public Wi-Fi is coming soon to Vancouver. 

The city has awarded Telus a five-year contract to offer free public Wi-Fi at 43 locations around the city. The initial target locations include 26 community centres and other civic and cultural facilities.

The city says contract negotiations have not yet been finalized with Telus but council hopes to have some locations activated by this summer.
