European space probe awakens for comet landing

European space probe Rosetta awoke from a deep sleep earlier this week to gear up for an unprecedented mission — to rendezvous and land on a comet.

In this week's Science Smart video column, Johanna Wagstaffe explains why this was such a huge milestone for space exploration in what has already been a highly-choreographed mission.
