A pedestrian overpass in Burnaby has collapsed after being hit by a dump truck.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. PT Wednesday in the 8900 block of Beaverbrook Drive, near the intersection of Eastlake Drive.

No one was injured.

Police say it looks like the box was raised when it hit the overpass. (Ryan Stelting/CBC)

RCMP say it appears the dump truck's box was in the raised position when the collision occurred and the driver would likely receive multiple traffic tickets.

City crews and a structural engineer were called to the scene to remove the truck and debris.
