Doctor Who could be shooting in Vancouver this fall, reports claim
Popular BBC show has longtime Vancouver connections
Is BBC's hit show Doctor Who shooting in Vancouver this fall?
Maybe.
If the rumour mills are to believed, the TV show's lead actor Peter Capaldi apparently told fans earlier this week that the show will be shooting in Hollywood North in October.
Various U.K. media have also reported that the show will come to Vancouver, but those reports seem to be all based on tweets from two fans.

CBC called industry group Creative B.C. and the City of Vancouver's film permit office, but both said they could not confirm or deny the rumours.
BBC also did not return the CBC's request for information.
Show has a history with Vancouver
Fans will recall the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie starring the eighth doctor Paul McGann was shot in Vancouver.
It was the first Doctor Who episode to be shot completely outside the U.K, and still remains so to this day, according to the BBC.
And here's another Vancouver connection: Rachel Talalay, who has directed several episodes of the show, is an associate professor of theatre at UBC. Perhaps she's directing the shoot in Vancouver?
CBC sent her an email as well, but has yet to hear back.
