Keep look out for cougar say Saanich Police
Saanich Police were unable to locate a cougar that was reported in the 700 block of Miller Avenue in Saanich on Vancouver Island on Friday.

Saanich Police are asking residents to be vigilant after the force received a report of a cougar sighting around 9:15 p.m. PT Friday in the 700 block of Miller Avenue.

"A Saanich Police patrol unit was dispatched to the scene but was unable to locate the animal," said Staff Sgt. Mark Muth in a release.
"Area residents, parents of children attending school or other programs in the area and people working nearby are advised to be aware of this reported sighting," he wrote.
The BC Conservation Officer Service has been informed about the animal.
