Wildfire season is upon us, and with the weather warnings and news of evacuations, many are reminded of the devastation of its impacts. But what happens to the lives of those affected after the fires are long gone?

Tune in to Radio West on June 10 and 11 as CBC's Sarah Penton shares the stories of survivors of some of the most destructive wildfires in B.C. history in the new special series, Recovery: Stories From The Ashes, airing at 5:10 p.m and 5:40 p.m. PT on CBC Radio One in the Interior, and online at cbc.ca/listen.

From 2018's record-setting wildfires to 1973's Eden Fire, Penton speaks with those who have endured heartbreaking loss after wildfires have torn through their homes and communities.
