Two American fishermen have been rescued in Boundary Bay south of Vancouver by a Canadian Coast Guard hovercraft.

Two American fishermen have been rescued Tuesday in Boundary Bay south of Vancouver by a Canadian Coast Guard hovercraft.

An 18-year-old youth and a 40-year-old man from the border community of Blaine, Wash. had been reported overdue Monday night.

They had been out on a fishing trip in Boundary Bay, and failed to return to the dock in Blaine by midnight.

A Canadian Coast Guard cutter and the hovercraft were called in to help with the search on Tuesday morning.

The missing men were found in their six-metre boat, unhurt and stuck in the mud.
