Classes cancelled for Chilliwack students on Monday
An Environment Canada snowfall warning is in effect for the Fraser Valley
The Chilliwack School District says all of its schools will be closed to students on Monday due to weather.
An Environment Canada snowfall warning remains in effect for the area and says a further five to 10 centimetres of snow is expected overnight on Sunday before tapering off on Monday morning.
The snowfall warning also includes Abbotsford, but that school district has not cancelled classes as of Sunday night.
The Chilliwack School District, operates 20 elementary schools, six middle schools, three secondary schools and four alternative programs.
The district says on its website that all staff are expected to report to work.
