Ever wonder how the news gets made every day?

CBC Vancouver invites you to be a part of our newsroom tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 2 as we open the doors to guests and raise money for food banks across British Columbia at our annual Open House & Food Bank Day.

"It's an open house so that people can come down and meet the CBC personalities from television, radio and digital ... and show how we create the stories," said CBC's Sheila Peacock, one of the event's organizers.

Join us for a tour of the newsroom and studios, fun for all ages, as we raise money for hungry families across the province. You'll meet CBC hosts and reporters and can even try being a weather presenter on the set of CBC Vancouver News.

A live broadcast of the Early Edition with host Rick Cluff begins at 6 a.m., just as it did in 2015. (CBC)

The event kicks off at 6 a.m. PT with a live taping of CBC's The Early Edition with veteran host Rick Cluff in Studio 700, featuring live music from Chor Leoni and The Sojourners.
