CBC's Musical Nooners resume this Monday with a mix of rock and roll, country and folk on the CBC Vancouver Plaza.

Canadian artists Kendel Carson and Dustin Bentall will take the stage from noon to 1 p.m. for this free live concert.

Kendel Carson

A classically trained musician, Carson began playing the violin when she was just three years old. The Victoria-raised fiddler and singer plays with the Paperboys but is best known for her work as a solo artist.

Her sound showcases a seamless blend of roots and country, interwoven with sultry, smooth vocals.

Dustin Bentall

The son of Canadian pop/rock singer-songwriter Barney Bentall, you could say music runs in Dustin Bentall's blood.

The Vancouver-born troubadour has been a notable presence in the alternative folk music scene ever since the release of his debut album, Streets With No Lights, released in 2005.

Here's a video of the two performing Three Thousand Miles from the album Six Shooter.

The CBC Musical Nooners are a series of free, live music concerts every weekday from noon to 1 p.m. on the CBC Vancouver Plaza on Hamilton Street (between West Georgia and Robson).

While we do control the line-up, we can't control the weather. Follow us on Twitter at @CBCVancouver or #musicalnooners in case of changes to the schedule due to inclement weather.
