Burnaby shooting suspect sought by police

Police are looking for witnesses after a targeted shooting in south Burnaby, Monday night.

Police believe it was a targeted attack, but the motive is unclear

Police in Burnaby are asking for the public's help after a non-fatal shooting in south Burnaby, Monday evening.

It happened in the 7700 block of 12th Avenue around 8:30 p.m., according to Burnaby RCMP. When they arrived on scene, they found one man with gunshot injuries. 

Witnesses told police the suspect, a Caucasian male dressed all in black, ran from the scene to a waiting dark vehicle with a roof rack, where a driver was waiting to take him from the scene.  

It's believed to be a targeted shooting, but police say they don't have a motive at this time.

The victim is in hospital with critical but non-fatal injuries.
