Fire crews in Christina Lake believed they have recovered the body of the third victim of a tubing accident near Grand Forks.

A 74-year-old man and his 71-year-old wife were recovered within 24 hours of the accident last month.

The third victim is a 50-year-old Scottish tourist.

"We received a call of a body floating in the Kettle River just below the Cascade Gorge and after some searching, we were able to find it," said Christina Lake fire Chief Ken Gresley-Jones.

"And we were able to retrieve it. It wasn’t an easy recovery but we were successful."

The names of the victims have not been released.
