One CBC Radio listener won't be lining up for Black Friday sales, saying the high cost of living in Vancouver doesn't leave him with any money to participate in sales.

"I get on a bus at six in the morning, I get off a bus at six in the evening, and I'm dirt poor," the unidentified caller said on a voicemail left for The Early Edition.

"Vancouver is a hard, nasty city to live in, and there is no Black Friday, and there is no option to participate in it."
