B.C. Lions can't sing but give Christmas carol their best shot
Team posted off-key rendition of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on social media
Can professional football players make it through Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer without messing up?
As far as the B.C. Lions are concerned, the answer to that is a resounding ... no.
The team posted its off-key rendition of the Christmas carol — complete with Santa hats in Lions' orange and black — on its social media channels.
Fans responded enthusiastically but many said the players should stick to their day jobs.
"Appreciate the Christmas spirit but Jeeze Louise stick to football. That was just bloody awful," posted Diana Kilmury on Facebook.
"You guys don't know the words and must have cheat sheets?! Santa will skip your houses for sure!" added Gina Molina.
"Glad your day jobs are as football players and not singers. Merry Christmas! Go Lions Go!" said Shelley Smith-Bailey.
