BC Hydro power outage restored in Downtown Vancouver after causing commuter crunch
Power has been restored in Downtown Vancouver after an outage during the evening commute on Monday caused traffic delays.
Earlier in the evening, BC Hydro said it did not know what had caused the outage, which started at 5:15 p.m.
Many of the intersections in the area were without traffic lights, causing delays as drivers used four-way stop procedures.
Hydro said the outage affected about 700 customers.
