Liberals take most of Fraser Valley, but the NDP takes 2 key ridings
The Liberals took most Fraser Valley ridings, but the NDP won in Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge-Mission.
Rich Coleman, Mike de Jong, Mary Polak all re-elected in region
The Liberals maintained their traditional dominance in the Fraser Valley but the NDP took two key ridings in the 2017 provincial election.
Lisa Beare won Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows for the New Democrats and Bob D'Eith broke the Liberals grip on Maple Ridge-Mission.
Former minister of natural gas and housing Rich Coleman was re-elected in Langley East, as were former environment minister Mary Polak in Langley and former finance minister Mike de Jong in Abbotsford West.
Liberal John Martin was re-elected in his riding of Chilliwack and Darryl Plecas also gave the Liberals a win by re-taking his seat in Abbotsford South.
The Liberals also had wins from Simon Gibson in Abbotsford-Mission and Laurie Throness in Chilliwack-Kent.
