B.C.'s Coroners Service will hold an inquest into the deaths of three patients who died shortly after leaving an Abbotsford hospital.

The patients were admitted to Abbotsford Regional Hospital for mental health issues and each died within days of leaving.

Brian David Geisheimer, 30, died in Mission on Dec. 28, 2014.

Meanwhile Sebastien Pavit Abdi, 19, of Abbotsford, died at his family home on April 26, 2015 and Sarah Louise Charles, 41, died the same day near her Abbotsford apartment building.

Coroners spokesperson Barbara McClintock said the former patients did not know one another. McClintock would not say how they died, but noted the deaths weren't homicides and didn't involve police.

The inquest is scheduled to begin on May 16, 2016 at the Burnaby Coroners Court.

Coroner Liana Wright and a jury will hear evidence and make recommendations to prevent similar deaths.
