Attempted abduction of 15-year old Peachland girl has RCMP looking for suspect men
Two unidentified men tried to grab her wrists and push her into a tunnel
A 15-year-old girl in Peachland, B.C., escaped an attempted abduction Saturday night, and now West Kelowna RCMP are looking for two men who fled the scene.
The teen was approached by two men, near a tunnel between Beach Ave. and Princeton Ave. in Peachland. One of them grabbed her wrists, when the other tried to push her into the tunnel, according to West Kelowna RCMP, who were called to the scene at 7:46 p.m. PT.
The girl escaped, uninjured, when another woman — who has not been identified — entered the tunnel and interrupted the incident.
The men fled out of the tunnel, toward Beach Avenue, and were seen speeding away in a black sedan with Alberta plates down Highway 97, according to police.
West Kelowna RCMP are looking for the two men. The first is described as:
- Caucasian.
- 30-40 years old.
- Approximately 5'11" or 180 cm tall
- Skinny build.
- Wearing a black zipped hoodie with white drawstrings, light blue jeans and black skater shoes.
The second man is described as:
- Caucasian.
- 30-40 years old.
- Red or burgundy hoodie with hood up.
