Ambulance thief facing charges in Vancouver

A man is facing charges of vehicle theft after stealing an ambulance from Vancouver General Hospital Thursday evening around 6 p.m. PT.

A man is facing charges of vehicle theft after stealing an ambulance from Vancouver General Hospital Thursday evening around 6 p.m. PT.

Police were able to box in the stolen ambulance at Oak Street and West 10th Avenue, a block away from VGH.

Officers used a bean bag gun to subdue and capture the driver.

He was treated for minor injuries.
