Ambulance and train collide in Langley, B.C.

A collision between a train and ambulance had first responders scrambling in Langley, with five ambulances and two helicopter air ambulances called to the scene.

A collision between a train and ambulance at a level crossing in Langley, B.C. has left one person with serious injuries, and two others injured.

The person who was being transported by the ambulance involved in the crash has been airlifted to hospital in serious condition, BC Ambulance Service says. 

The rear ambulance attendant and ambulance driver have also been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident at 216th Street and Glover Road was reported to police at 11:22 this morning. 

Five ambulances and two air ambulances were called to the scene.

Roads are closed in all directions at that location, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area. 

CP Rail is also on scene to assist with the investigation.
