Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos has announced to the world his company’s audacious plan to deliver its products to consumers via so-called “octocopters” — a type of drone that could carry anything up to five pounds within a 10-mile radius of an Amazon fulfillment centre.
B.C. has a fulfillment centre on Annacis Island, just south of Vancouver, making the futuristic vision a possibility here too.
