The Alex Fraser Bridge experienced major problems during the Monday afternoon rush because of accidents that tied one northbound and one southbound lane.

DriveBC says only one lane was open in either direction. Motorists experienced delays up to 80 minutes.

By 6:30 p.m., all lanes had reopened.
