Homicide investigation underway after man shot, killed in Abbotsford
Man dies in hospital, after shots heard on Crown Court
Police say a man is dead after a shooting in Abbotsford, B.C., Wednesday night.
Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said officers responded to a report of shots fired on Crown Court, near Charlotte Avenue, at 9:11 p.m. PT.
The man was transported to hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Cameron Mackay lives near the scene of the shooting, and said he saw a large police presence on his street after hearing the gunshots from his house at 9:09 p.m.
"They drove over my front lawn with an armoured vehicle," Mackay said.

"Apparently someone was shot at the end of the cul-de-sac … They took him away, they were working on him, but it doesn't look too good."
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is now looking into the incident as a homicide.
