Abbotsford, B.C. senior held in her own home during robbery
62-year-old woman restrained and robbed after leaving home to take out garbage
A 62-year-old Abbotsford, B.C. woman's decision to take the garbage out turned into a terrifying experience early Friday morning.
No sooner was the woman outside her home, police say, when she was confronted by two masked men who forced her back inside her house, then started making demands for cash.
Two other men arrived and the woman was restrained while her home was ransacked.
Eventually, the men left and the woman called police. She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say neighbours have noticed a brown Chrysler sedan in the area and near the home over the last few weeks.
