$5K reward offered for information leading to arrest of murder suspect

A $5,000 reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of murder suspect Brandon Teixeira.

Teixeira, 27, was charged with the first-degree murder of 28-year-old Nicolas Khabra.  Khabra was shot to death in Surrey in October of 2017,

On Wednesday, IHIT released videos showing Teixeira in a Langley liquor store on Sept. 5.

A warrant has been issued for Teixeira's arrest but so far he has eluded police. 

"We believe the reward offered by Crime Stoppers will provide an extra incentive to those with intimate knowledge of Mr. Teixeira's current whereabouts to come forward," said IHIT spokesman Cpl. Frank Jang.

On Sept. 14, police said they believed Teixeira was still in the Lower Mainland, but urged people in Edmonton and Calgary to be on the lookout because of Teixeira's known associates in those cities.

Teixeira is described as:

  • White
  • 178 cm (5 feet 10 inches), 73 kg (161 pounds)
  • Brown eyes and hair
  • Snake tattoo on left side of chest
  • Sleeve tattoo on left arm
