Some relief is in the air for those in Metro Vancouver who have been smoked out by haze from wildfires on the south coast of B.C.
As the weather is expected to cool off (with a slight chance of rain on Sunday), why not check out some of these outdoor activities this weekend?
1. Symphony in the Park
Every year, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra puts on a free outdoor concert at Burnaby's Deer Lake Park. Bring a blanket and a picnic as you take in the classics. Parking is limited, so come early or plan for alternate transportation.
When: July 12, 7 to 9 p.m. PT
2. Tour de Delta
Cyclists from around the world will zip through Delta as they compete over three days. The Tour de Delta kicks off B.C. Superweek, which also includes the UBC Grand Prix (July 14), Gastown Grand Prix (July 15), Giro di Burnaby (July 16) and the Tour de White Rock (July 17).

3. Squamish Beer Festival
The first annual Squamish Beer Festival will take place downtown and people can sample brews from 30 local breweries as well as take part in craft beer workshops, watch live performances and taste local cuisine.
When: July 11, 1 to 6 p.m. PT
4. Carnaval del Sol
If outdoor salsa dancing, soccer, and all things Latin American are your thing, don't miss the annual Carnaval del Sol this weekend in downtown Vancouver.
When: July 11-12
5. Khatsahlano Street Party
Known as Vancouver's biggest free music and arts festival, the Khatsahlano Street Party features local artisans, top performers and food and drink. This year's line-up includes Yukon Blonde, The Belle Game and Pointed Sticks.
