Highway 1 reopens after 5-vehicle collision near Langley
4 people in hospital with minor injuries, police say
More than nine hours after it happened, Highway 1 has been reopened following a collision involving five large vehicles near Langley completely closed it to westbound traffic.
Police say four people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after a van, a commercial truck and three equipment-laden semi-trucks collided.
Drive B.C. is advising motorists to continue to expect heavy delays due to volume.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. near 248th Street in Langley.
Police say there was a second crash nearby about a half hour later that may have been connected to the earlier crash. The later crash involved two cars and sent four people to hospital with minor injuries.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol are believed to have been factors in the crashes.
