Firearms found in Fraser Valley home
Police have arrested four suspected gang members in Abbotsford, B.C.,afterseizing weapons from their home— including a gun similar to the one used in Thursday's gang shootings in Vancouver.
The four people, who are all related, are believed to be members of a gang that calls itself the United Nations, said Sgt. Elly Sawchuk of the Abbotsford police force.
"One of the weapons [seized] is similar to a gun used in Thursday's brazen shooting in a Vancouver Chinese restaurant," Sawchuk said. "Investigators will be trying to determine if there is any direct link, but at this point it's too early to tell."
The four people in custodyhave been charged with weapons-related offences, she said.
At about 4:30 a.m.Thursday two masked men entered the Fortune Happiness Restaurant on East Broadway near Fraser Street in Vancouverand opened fire on a group of patrons seated at a single table.
Two men were killed and six were sent to hospital. Police believe the shooting was gang related.
