Mounties in Surrey, B.C., say two people have been charged in connection with a fatal shooting last weekend.

Russell Bidesi, 21, of Surrey, and Joshua Martinez, 19, of New Westminster, have each been charged with second-degree murder, robbery and firearms-related charges.

Kacey Rogers, 31, was shot and killed in his home in the 14000 block of Grosvenor Road on Feb. 26.

Rogers was not known to police and is believed to be the victim of a targeted attack.

"This was a planned home invasion turned deadly," said Cpl. Adam MacIntosh of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

"We are very pleased to be in a position to make this announcement, only a few days, after Kacey 's murder. Although charges have been laid, this investigation remain in it's early stages, will remain active and continue to progress."

Investigators continue to explore any possible gang association.
