Air Miles rage

Please continue to hold.
So. Trying to use your Air Miles right now is a bit, well, frustrating.

A whole bunch of customers have miles that are about to start expiring

Unfortunately, redeeming miles isn't that user-friendly right now. The flood of people trying to get stuff means callers are being kept on hold for more than two hours. You need a vacation after a call like that. Oh, wait...

What not to eat this week

Don't eat it.
This week in recalls!

Don't eat this: Ocean's brand white tuna (it could be in unsafe, leaking cans).

Don't eat this: Betty Crocker Super Moist Rainbow Bit Cake Mix (it might be contaminated by E. coli).

Not sure why flour can be dangerous? Here's how that works.

Pregnancy stuff you just don't need, says science

Skip the prenatal multivitamins. (iStock)
If you expect you need a prenatal multivitamin when you're expecting, not so much.

Good news: You can stick to the basics: folic acid and vitamin D. Anything else is a waste of money, according to a new research review.

(Supplement with doughnuts and pickles as needed.)

Pokemon Go (carefully)

Here Pidgey, Pidgey. (Submitted by Dakota Lloyd)
"It vibrated to let me know there was something nearby and I looked up and just fell in a hole."

Pokemon Go may be "augmented reality" but Pokemon Go-related injuries (which happens sometimes when you wander around with your head in your phone) are just regular old reality.

Not sure why everyone is going nuts for a Pokeball and a Squirtle right now? Here's what's going on

About those real estate prices

House hunting can suck. (David Donnelly/CBC)
Has the real estate market gone bananas?

The average cost of a two-storey home in Canada is almost $620,000. And one Toronto house sparked a 72-offer bidding war.

We're investigating, and we need your help. We're looking for house hunters in the Toronto area who will let us tag along. Email us for details.

On TV: Cellphone data shock

If your kids have phones on your plan, you may just want to watch this one. (Shutterstock)
How do the Big Three cellphone providers get away with charging us so much for data? Cellphone companies may be bending the rules by letting kids authorize additional charges without their parents' permission.

If you have a shared family plan, you're going to want to watch this one before your next bill.

Watch it on TV this weekend or online now.
