Felix Auger-Aliassime's losing streak on the ATP Tour came to an end Wednesday with a 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-2 win over Marton Fucsovics in second-round action at the European Open.

Auger-Aliassime's last tour victory was on Aug. 16, a 6-3, 6-1 win over Casper Ruud in the second round of the Cincinnati Open.

The world No. 21 from Montreal then proceeded to drop his next four tour matches, including three to opponents outside the top 50.

Auger-Aliassime, who is seeded third in Antwerp and had a first-round bye, appeared destined for another frustrating match after failing to convert a break in the sixth game before losing the first set in a tiebreaker.

2022 European Open champion Felix Auger-Aliassime of Montreal beat Hungary's Martin Fucsovics 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-2 in the Round of 16 in Antwerp.
He made better use of his opportunities after that, however. Auger-Aliassime scored a key break against Fucsovics to go up 4-3 in second set, then dominated the third set with breaks in the fifth and seventh games against the Hungarian.

Auger-Aliassime improved his career record against Fucsovics to 3-2. He will next face Roberto Bautista Agut in the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 event. Auger-Aliassime has a 3-2 record against the Spanish veteran.

While Auger-Aliassime has struggled recently on the ATP Tour, he did post three victories in Davis Cup group-stage play last month to power Canada into next month's quarterfinals.
