Canada's Nelson scores 1st MLS goal to lift Toronto FC into draw with Real Salt Lake
CF Montreal gets late comeback win over Red Bulls, Portland Timbers tops Whitecaps
Substitute Jayden Nelson's first career MLS goal, an opportunistic strike from long-range, lifted Toronto FC into a 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake on Saturday.
Salt Lake cried foul but the goal survived video review with referee Marcos de Oliveira ruling Nelson had not fouled. The goal came in Nelson's 20th MLS regular-season appearance.
Kosi Thompson, another 19-year-old, also scored his first MLS goal for Toronto.

"A fantastic goal," said Toronto FC head coach Bob Bradley, who has seen a few. "The confidence, just the recognition of the moment where the 'keeper's out and now you can take advantage of it."
Toronto defender Carlos Salcedo, who had a difficult game in returning to where he started his MLS career, was sent off in the 86th minute for a high boot that caught Sergio Cordova in the face.
It was a rare point for Toronto (2-2-2) in Utah. TFC has not won in the Beehive State since its first visit there, a 2-1 victory in July 2007. Since then, Salt Lake has won eight of 10 (8-0-2) against TFC.
CF Montreal gets comeback win over Red Bulls
Romell Quioto scored into an empty net in the 81st minute and CF Montreal rallied late to defeat the New York Red Bulls 2-1 in MLS action on Saturday.
Omir Fernandez staked New York (3-2-1) to a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 14th minute.
The lead held until Rudy Camacho pulled Montreal even with a goal in the 71st minute.

The Red Bulls outshot Montreal 14-9 with a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Sebastian Breza saved four of the five shots he faced for Montreal.
Portland Timbers tops Whitecaps
Dairon Asprilla scored on a first-half penalty kick and the Portland Timbers handed the Whitecaps a 3-2 loss on Saturday, Vancouver's first loss on home turf this season.
Cristian Dajome replied for the 'Caps (1-4-1) in the 76th minute and Ryan Gauld put away a penalty kick in injury time.
It was a busy night for Portland 'keeper Aljaz Ivacic busy, who stopped five shots, while Thomas Hasal made a single save for Vancouver.

The 'Caps came into Saturday's game with a solid home record, having gone 8-1-2 at B.C. Place since last August.
The match marked the 100th all-time meeting between the Timbers and the Whitecaps, dating back to 1975 with games across six different leagues.
