Brody Roybal of the United States scored at 5:08 of overtime on Saturday to halt Canada's bid to repeat as world Para hockey champions and give the Americans their first title since 2015.

Sent in alone from near the faceoff circle, he made a pretty stick-to-stick move before depositing the puck in the Canadian net past goalie Dominic Larocque, and sealing a 3-2 American victory.

Teammate Declan Farmer forced OT with 3:25 left in regulation at Ostrava, Czech Republic, on a slick play. After fending off one Canadian defender, he stickhandled by another before banking the puck off Larocque's skate blade and watched it cross the goalline.

Canada beat the U.S. in the final of the last world championship in 2017.
