Germany's Thomas Florschuetz and Kevin Kuske won a World Cup two-man bobsled event Saturday in La Plagne, France , edging Steven Holcomb and Steve Langton of the United States.
Florschuetz drove his two runs in one minute 58.50 seconds. Holcomb was 0.35 seconds back for the silver, another 0.06 seconds ahead of bronze medallists Beat Hefti and Thomas Lamparter of Switzerland.
It's the second World Cup two-man medal of the season for Holcomb, who hadn't had a top-three finish in two-man racing in two years before finishing third in the season-opening stop last weekend at Igls, Austria.
Lyndon Rush of Humboldt, Sask., and Edmonton's Neville Wright placed fifth in Canada 1 followed by Calgarians Chris Spring and Derek Plug in Canada 2.
