Twenty years ago, Quebecois filmmaker François Girard found international success with his film The Red Violin. The response was so big that Girard was hesitant to make another movie involving a violin. He joined q's Tom Power to talk about making an exception for his latest film, The Song of Names, an adaptation of the award-winning novel of the same name by music scholar Norman Lebrecht. Girard's film The Song of Names hits theatres on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
