Led by Shabaka Hutchings, who is one of the most exciting jazz saxophonists on the scene right now, Shabaka and the Ancestors are blazing a path of insistent spiritual jazz.
Hutchings has gathered a crew of South African jazz musicians and together the band fuses the inspirations of legendary figures like Sun-Ra and the concepts of Afrofuturism.
Hutchings joins q guest host Laurie Brown live in the studio to discuss the album Wisdom of Elders.
