Meet Peter Moosebridge, Zootopia's anchor with antlers

Peter Mansbridge's commanding baritone has become a hallmark of the evening news — but now CBC News' chief correspondent has lent his voice to a wilder project.

Mansbridge transforms into Peter Moosebridge, an anchor with antlers, in Disney's upcoming animated movie Zootopia. The film imagines an urban jungle without humans, where various species co-mingle and clash. 

Today the man behind the moose joins Shad to discuss the chance encounter that led to his "critical cameo" and how he fielded a producer's request to sound more like a  "Canadian moose".
