Artist causes uproar with exclusive right to 'blackest black'

q's visual arts correspondent R.M. Vaughn joins Shad to explain how artist Anish Kapoor gained exclusive rights to use Vantablack — the blackest black ever made — and why that's angering other artists worldwide. 

Kapoor worked with British company NanoSystems to create a pigment is so black it absorbs almost all light. 

"I think what people are angry about is that an artist would want to own a colour, and prohibit other artists," he says. 

"Art doesn't really grow like that."
