You can probably imagine Jason Priestley cruising around Beverly Hills in 90210 — but can you picture the teen heartthrob holed up at home, watching private investigator dramas?
"I grew up on a steady diet of The Rockford Files and Magnum P.I. and Remington Steele and Hart to Hart," says Priestly, who fondly remembers his evenings "moonlighting" as a detective show geek.
Now the Canadian actor is offering his own spin on the genre, playing newbie investigator Matt Shade in the new Global series, Private Eyes. In a Toronto that isn't pretending to be New York, Priestly uncovers crimes in unlikely places.
