Sure, her advice is dubious — but it's also delightful. Comedian and writer Monica Heisey joins Shad to discuss her new, Lena Dunham-approved essay collection, I Can't Believe It's Not Better.
In it, the 26-year-old writer reflects on her mistakes and victories, her reluctance to seriously claim the title of "grown ass woman" and the value of opening up on hard topics — from bullying to abortion.
"There are very few topics or issues that wouldn't benefit from more people talking about them," she says. "[Conversation] can be validating and in some cases life saving."
